Tarzana Ranch Home

  • About the project
    Los Angeles, CA

This dull 1970’s valley ranch home was in desperate need of a makeover. With nice bones, spacious rooms and a flowing layout, the clients were able to look beyond the dreary interiors to transform this space into vibrant, playful home rich with fun patterns, colors, and textures.

Taking inspiration from mid-century influences, this client wanted bold prints and saturated colors with a few touches of sparkle of throughout the home. Tired ceramic tile floors were replaced with warm, cork planks. The kitchen was refreshed by painting the cabinets a bright white and installing a peaceful aqua glass mosaic backsplash and durable slab counters. The sad master bath was transformed into a dreamy spa with his and hers vanities, a luxurious steam shower, and a gigantic whirlpool air tub. And, the ordinary wrought iron stair rail was swapped with a striking trellis Chinoiserie pattern.

Fun, bold fabric prints, unique textured tiles, fearless use of color, and dramatic patterns and shapes completely transformed this home into the perfect place to relax, unwind, and enjoy.
